The Account Binder's Status Tab

The Status tab is located on the Account Binder page.  It displays the federal tax return, beneficiary and state status and milestones for the account you opened.  The status and milestones you see are for the tax year you are working with.

If status and milestones were not set up in TrustEase, the Status tab does not display.  In addition, if you try to open an account and a message indicating that the account has not been released for review displays, then you cannot open that account until after the milestone is reached.

How Is the Status Tab Organized?

The Status tab uses the Account, Beneficiary and State buttons to organize the status and milestones for an account.  On the Status tab, the buttons are located to the left.  Clicking one of the buttons lets you see the status and milestones for that document type.  For example, clicking the Account button lets you see the status and milestones related to the account's federal tax return.  Clicking the Beneficiary button lets you see the status and milestones related to the beneficiaries listed on the account.  If state income tax reporting applies to the account you opened, clicking the State button lets you see the status and milestones related to the account's state tax return.   If more than one beneficiary, type of tax return or state is associated with the account, you can choose the one you want to view from a drop-down list located above the Account button.

How Do I Move to the Status Tab?

  1. Open an account.

  2. Click the Status tab.
